Same-day reels: why speed matters at a trade show

Most trade show videos arrive weeks after the event. They look good, they go into the company archive, and that’s it. The topic has gone cold, the launch is no longer news and the client has moved on to something else.

There’s a better way to use video at a show: post it while the show is still on.

Video as an invitation

Watch the people walking the aisles at any trade show. Everyone has a phone out, checking what’s going on in the hall. A reel posted on day one, showing your booth and where to find it, works as an invitation for the days that follow. People see it, recognize it and stop by.

What about those who didn’t come?

Not every client travels to the show. Most don’t, actually. A video posted the same day puts that client inside your booth while the news is still news. And it gives your sales team a great reason to send a message: “did you see what we launched today?”

How same-day delivery is possible

There’s no magic. There’s planning.

The shot list is agreed before the show, so we arrive at the booth knowing which videos will come out of it. The first two are picked because they’re simple: the product in action and an overview of the booth. And editing starts while filming is still going on.

At Brazuca this works because the filming crew is in Orlando and post-production is in São Paulo. While one films, the other edits.

And the rest of the footage?

The rest doesn’t need the rush, and shouldn’t have it. Testimonials and more polished pieces come out better with a few days of editing. In our package, 2 reels go out the same day and the other 8 within 10 business days. In practice, your company keeps posting for weeks after the show is over.
